I finished my very first cowl yesterday. It's black & oh so soft. When I started the project
(my very first time using circular needles) I thought maybe I would end up with a hat, but seeing as I made the very common
knitting in the round mistake of twisting stitches
(though I was so careful not to) I knit up a very warm & cozy
möbius strip instead. Thankfully it would have been much to large to be a hat anyhow.
The boy & the cowl. I'm pretty pleased with it & plan on making many more -- trying out different sizes & thicknesses. The funny thing is... I'm not sure how I managed to twist the stitches to begin with so it might be interesting trying to twist them on purpose for my next creation.
What have you been creating lately?

I think it's genius and that everyone should walk around in non-orientable geometrics...but then I think it's really fun to come up with quilting patterns as expressions of the Sierpinski Carpet.
/nerd.
I think I saw sierpinski carpet cookies once ^_^
Did you post that...?
I <3 accidental genius, it makes life so much more interesting. I have been working mainly on slip and drop stitch scarves, and other experiments to get some original stuff together for my Etsy. I am also starting to plan out a filet crochet piano scarf using pachelbels cannon in d as the pattern... that should be huge and fun, may end up as a table cloth, who knows.
^^I sure did.
Tony, I need to see this scarf.
Love this. What have I been making lately? Well i started my very first quilt (collecting fabric, now cutting lots and lots of triangles and birds!) I've also got unfinished crocheted bodice with which to make a spring dress (bodice crochet/skirt cotton fabric) and so far I've got two hilarious triangles for the chest-area.. Oh dear, and I'm attempting to make doodly tree decorations but there's just not enough time at the moment.
Oh wow -- you've been busy! I hope you'll post photos of your creations!
You are so talented!
I have been making a bunch of cards. (I keep giving them away as quickly as I can make them.)
I made two unique notebook things. They are very casual/informal (as opposed to super-formal me). ;-)
I have been having so much fun making different things. Who knew crafting could be so much fun?
