Today was the day.
Today was my last day of work.
Originally I was scheduled to work until the 17th of January, but, since the little one has decided to drop (yay!) way down into my pelvis, I am now completely uncomfortable, without sleep & experiencing some rather debilitating back pain (as well as this bizarre pain running all up & down my left side). I think much of my discomfort is from trying to find a comfortable way to sleep & straining my body in weird ways in the process. Or perhaps she is just tap dancing on the back of my pelvis? It certainly feels like it.
Because of the little one's recent antics (and at the absolute insistence of my partner) I threw in the towel & called today my last.
Everything is going to change & I am so excited for this next part of our lives.
See you in three (or less!) weeks, little one.

So glad you have the option to quit early! Are you on maternity leave or planning on staying home? Hope you get lots of rest and stay as comfortable as possible. I HATED those last weeks of discomfort... :(

It's definitely nice to have the option to leave when I need to. I'm sort of on a maternity leave with the option of going back whenever I want/need/can.
My boss is SUPER flexible & supportive & no matter what or when, there will be a position for me when I choose to go back.

You're lucky to have such a great boss! Take it easy now, get enough exercise but also lie low, drink hot tea and have some nice baths. This is your time!
i found you through cup of jo and noticed you want to breastfeed, which is awesome! i have three kiddos (i'm 34) and breastfed. it's amazing. you have such a beautiful look about you!
