Electronics And Liquids Don't Mix

I am typing this post from one of our laptops because of yesterday's little incident.

I was holding Gretchen & spinning us ever so softy, back & forth in the comfort of my new office chair. I was also enjoying a nice mug of coffee, which was sitting in front of my keyboard, on my desk. Then, in slow motion it seemed, Gretchen stretched an arm out & as we spun by -- sploosh -- coffee in the keyboard, on the desk, on my mouse, soaked up by the mouse pad, splashed on my monitor, narrowly missing my camera (phew), on the carpet, in my lap & on the baby (don't worry, it was warm, but not hot).

I'm sure some expletives spewed forth as I called upon Ryan to rescue me from all of the liquid. He then entertained Gretchen while I sopped coffee up from every inch of my office, or so it seemed.

Oi vey.

Needless to say, my keyboard is a little sticky & may need replacing, so I'll be on my laptop for a little while.

However, I am a girl who enjoys her coffee & no matter how many keyboards I destroy I will probably never have a "no coffee at my desk" rule.

You just can't put limitations coffee enjoyment. No, no. It wouldn't be right.

Be very very glad it wasn't on the laptop keyboard. I did that one time... it ended up being a $60 cup of hot cocoa. Hubs was not too happy...

This is where you are grateful it went on the electronics and not your baby. As a coffee drinker, I have had many close calls with little kids and coffee, and I have learned to be more aware of it. Scares the crap out of me every time there's an accident...

vania: I've done it with tea too! and soup... haha.
