The Fawn Gets Domestic

The past two days have been rather productive & full of all sorts of domestic deeds. The boy had two days off in a row (which is somewhat of a rare occurrence) so we got busy (which doesn't quite sound the way I meant it too). Busy, in this case, means that we:

painted an accent wall in the office
bought two new office chairs
finally bought drapes for the office, the living room & the bedroom
cleaned out the den (which, until yesterday, had been used for storage and was full of boxes)
rearranged the living room
bought a brand new couch

That last one makes me feel like a grown up. Seriously. Forget the fact that becoming a mother should make me feel that way -- it took a new couch. A sage green, oh so soft, microfiber couch. It even folds flat for snoozing.

Sir Winston is a little sad that he's not allowed on the new couch.

Gretchen approves.

What sorts of domestic deeds have you been up to lately? Any renovations or improvements? Painting or redecorating? Please do share. I do love a good home improvement tale.

It's always so satisfying when things get DONE, you know? And hurrah for your super swish new couch!

Absolutely! I love getting stuff done ^_^ Also, I'm going to start saying 'super swish'. That is adorable.

I am always painting. ALWAYS. In fact, I had slotted the kitchen for the season, but with Patrick's job problems and now homeschooling, things are a BIT hectic and short!

LOVE the couch. Microfiber stuff is looooovely!

the green wall rocks (As does the couch and the baby) - I've got some big diy happening this weekend; renovating an old dresser with mum to display lots of colourful teapots and china!
