Five Of The Fawn's Favourite Fancy Fonts
I have been a bit of a font addict for a while now & thought it was about time that I shared a few of my favourites with you. Please enjoy & I hope you are inspired for your next typography project.

Monbijoux: Fun & stylish. I used to use this as my header font for this blog. It's whimsical without being silly & bold enough to stand out on its own. Great for getting some well deserved attention.
Valérie: This is the font that is currently being used all over my blog. I love how it flows, the fact that it's a little thicker than some of the other handwritten fonts & I feel a certain kinship with it seeing how I also always use capital Rs when I write. It's just one of my little idiosyncrasies. This font is great for your poetry & love letters.
Traveling Typewriter: I love this font because it's a rougher more gritty take on the Courier that we are all so fond of. It's a little dirty & has a lot of character... s. (Oh, how I love a good pun.) Perfect for secret correspondence.
Sue Ellen Francis: Super playful & super cute. I like to use this font whenever I'm feeling especially giddy, or when I'm captioning photos of pets. It's adorable & perfect for birthday party invites & notes to your kids.
VTKS Flowers in our Soul: This font is a little outlandish & a little convoluted but who can resist those beautiful scrolling flowers? It's not super practical but think big & think of the large scale applications -- posters, banners, headers & more. Perfect for making a statement & making it classy.

I like calibri to be honest, just got turned on to this font. Lucida Sans gets me going too.
But I find that fonts that are too dramatic distract similar to my blogs header which was the intention.

Found you from the 31DBBB and decided to check your blog out. I do a personal blog as well.
Fonts I like are the Lucinda Sans and the Old Book Antique. Great blog will come back again. :)
Majimo: Calibri is a great one too -- I suppose I didn't really include simpler fonts in this explanation, but as far as regular type face I'm a fan of Palatino Linotype, good old Verdana & Trebuchet from time to time!

In response to the article you have on your twitter feed about home birhs: I actually just watched this whole program on Discovery health the other day called "freebirthing". I don't see why people think simply having a home birth with a midwife present would be dangerous unless it was a high risk pregnancy...
now the whole freebirth thing was rather absurd to me. The one mother didn't even get any sort of prenatal care and gave herself check ups by checking her BP at one of those drug store ones (which are insanely inaccurate). She then took a neo-natal resuscitation class, which her husband (the only one who would be present) did not attend. I dunno I'm really rambling but I just couldn't believe the whole thing.
I would definitely spread my love and knowledge about midwives far and wide -- I think freebirthing would be a little nerve wracking, though I could understand why someone might want to do it on their own. I however, LOVED having midwives and that is the route I would take again!

Oh! I love typography! In fact, I'm in the midst of a 'thing' for a font you pointed out a while back. I forget where it was from, but it's called 'CK_Alis_Hand_Official' - and I love it! Cheers for pointing out more fabulous fonts :)
