On April 6th I hopped aboard the Weight Watchers train once again. I was on the program before I was pregnant & now that it's safe for me to start losing weight again (doctor & midwife approved) I am back on the program.
So far, things are going great. In my first two weeks I have lost a total of 6 lbs! My short term goal is to lose 20 lbs to get back to my pre pregnancy weight and my long term goal is to lose an additional 20 lbs to get to my happy weight -- 40 lbs in total & just 34 lbs to go!
Theoretically I would like to be at my long term goal by August 22nd since I'm going to be a bridesmaid that day (for a friend who is also doing Weight Watchers). I would like to be at my short term goal by June 17th (coinciding with a another friend's birthday who is also on the program & in the wedding).
So, to break it all down:
April 6th, starting weight: 200 lbs
April 22nd, current weight: 194 lbs
Goal for June 17th: 180 lbs
Goal for August 22nd: 160 lbs
I will be updating each week with my progress and should I forget, please hold me accountable! I want to do this & I want to do this right!
...
If any of you would like to join me in my weight loss journey, please let me know & link me to your blogs -- sometimes it's just easier to do something when you have a friend doing it with you.

Woo! Great start Miss! :)
Why thanks!
Congrats! I know how awesome that feels - I just lost 3 lbs by doing a similar approach (WW style) and going to Curves 3 days a week. My starting weight was 177 and I'm hoping to get down to 140. Thanks for being open with the numbers... I was too scared to on my blog!! I think you already have the link to my blog ;)
good luck with weight watchers! five years ago i used their program and lost 65 pounds.
you're already at an awesome start!
you're absolutely beautiful ms desiree - i hope that you remember that no matter WHAT weight you are. i'm sure your amazing family will never let you forget ;). and congrats on the achievement so far - hugs from saskatoon!
congrats! WW is definitely the best way to go, it's all about moderation, not completely cutting out food groups! Good luck on your journey!
mikki roo: no problem! I figure it's no secret that the pounds creep up during pregnancy, so why not share those scary numbers -- maybe they don't have to be so scary.
also, I read your blog everyday ^_^
deanna: thanks so much -- and 65lbs? wow! that's awesome ^_^
