Last night I cooked an entire meal like this -- hands free & still so close to her.

It just feels so right to have her next to me all of the time & though I've been criticized for 'spoiling her' I won't be changing my ways. Attachment parenting just feels good.
In the end, that's what it's all about.

That is awsome! Its great that you two have bonded so well. Who cares what people say about Gretchen being "spoiled". I know my Drew will be "spoiled" too and as long as everyone is happy, that's all that matters!!
i regularly take "spoiled" as a compliment that means i have a meaningful relationship with my daughter.
amanda: awe, thank you! I am so happy that I have this kind of relationship with her and I think it's great!
mikala: that is a great response! I think I'll keep that in mind from now on ^_^
Oy, the old spoiling line. My mother keeps warning me not to hold my babe all day because she'll "get used to it." Well I should hope so!
I love it! That is the best.I nursed ivy as we walked along at the zoo yesterday!
Criticized? For babywearing?? I happen to think that's a little silly! I think you should take your own advice and just do what's right for you and little Gretchen - it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. :)
Oi, I had my mother say I should put her down more often too. It's just a whole other generation thing I think ^_^
Thanks for the supports, ladies!
Happy babywearing!
Great to actually see a pic of how to do this. I never managed to figure out how to nurse my first while in his sling, but so want to with my second...whenever that may be :)
Document it for future reference ^_^
Adorable! Happy bonding =)
Aw, sweet! I found out this position by accident. I had my baby on my hip when I was washing dishes, and he just leaned right on in. I had taken my shirt off so it wouldn't get wet from all the splashing! :) I guess his thought was, hey, if it's available!
Thank you Claire!
Also, that's so awesome Hobo Mama -- what a fantastic discovery!
What great pics! With my first, I didn't baby wear until around 5months, so I missed out on the little one cuddling in the sling - I'm thoroughly enjoying it this time around, and whatever anyone thinks about it doesn't phase me. Spoiling, nonsense!
Awe thanks -- and keep up that babywearing love!
Silly people, you can't spoil a baby! I never managed to get the hang of nursing in a sling. But I will have to figure it out whenever I have a third child
Exactly!
