It's Monday Afternoon & I'm Feeling Fine

The babe & I just got back from a gorgeous walk with a good friend and her little babe. We went through the park, downtown & back around town in a big circle. We went to a cafe for drink (it's rather humid out there!) and visited a friend at work.

I love days like this.

Lately (for the past few days, anyhow) I've been a complete homebody. It's been sticky & hot, I've stayed in the house & I've been feeling antisocial. Sometimes you just want to be on your own right (or at least, as on your own as it gets when you have a four month old baby). Then, this afternoon, my friend called and asked me to join her for a walk.

It was perfect timing & I thank her for this.

Out we went & it was lovely.
I think I'm out of my funk.

The boy is home from work now (and taking a little nap). When he wakes up -- BURGER TIME! Oh yes, it's Monday which means one of our most favourite restaurants downtown has MONDO BURGERS! The tastiest burgers ever to pass our lips. Nom.

I hope you're having a happy, happy Monday (full of burgery goodness... if you're into that sort of thing).

Peace!

Mmm. now I want burgers. But we need BBQ fuel *sob*.

You certainly picked a great day to head oot-and-aboot!

Yay for walks! I think if I had more sunshine hours available, I'd go for more walks - yours always look so wonderful :)

I've been in a funk too -- I blame a four month hump -- but today was SO much better for me too. Maybe it's a thing. Maybe all moms have a bump around this time and then we all get over it. I dunno. Glad you had a lovely day!

I think that might be true -- maybe four months is how long a mama can go without sleep before her brains go a little nutty?
Thankfully she's been good *knockonwood* with sleep at night -- no complaints here!

LOVE burgers. we bbq all winter long (natural gas) so i don't have to go without even when it's frigid outside...but we do tend to save burgers more for summer. the best thing - i recently found gluten free commercially available burger buns that actually are quite edible!! which is very exciting for me. hope your supper was delish!

Sounds like you had a lovely time!

I've found myself staying home during certain periods and I think it's because I needed some down time. Once I got some, I was ready to head back into the world again!
