I saw the trailer when I went to see Fantastic Mr. Fox, and as much as I love me some Wes Anderson, I would have left the theatre and gone to another one in the plex to see the Babies. I'm so excited about this film! I think all the time about moms in different places -- both geographic and chronological. My undergrad degree was in anthropology so I wonder how much of my mothering is cultural and how much is universal. This is seriously what my brain is working out all day long so this film is the Best. Thing. Ever.
(Is my enthusiasm too much?)
(Also: Fantastic Mr. Fox was awesome even though I spent ten minutes of it in the lobby with my fussy lady.)
Mmm I can't wait to see it -- that AND Fantastic Mr. Fox... I take baby G to the theatre sometimes to see the 'stars and strollers' movies (aka they turn the sound down and there's still some light and no previews! oh, and it's $2 cheaper!)
