Good morning, ladies & gents. I'm in a bit of a blah mood today -- the weather, the lack of sleep -- you know how it is.
So! To get myself out of this funk I wanted to share with you one of my favourite things about winter -- despite all the grey and the dreariness.
The toque!
According to our dear friend Wiki, "a toque is a knitted cap, originally of wool though now often of synthetic fibers, that is designed to provide warmth in winter. Most toques are tapered, they sometimes have ear-flaps, and may be topped with a pom-pom, this style of toque is sometimes referred to as a sherpa. Toques may have a folded brim, or none, and may be worn tightly fitting the head or loose on top although the latter is considered more standard. The term originated in Canada and is an essential piece of any Canadian winter wardrobe."
So Canadian & SO CUTE! Here are just a few that are making me all giddy inside.
Ah, MUCH better!
Here's to warm ears & toasty têtes! Adios, mes amis.
...
ps. There are just 8 days left to vote So Fawned for The Lovelies! Thank you to everyone who has voted so far -- I'm definitely feeling the love!
