And So My Gardening Adventure Begins

On Sunday I put this little strawberry plant into the ground & after this weekend I hope to add some more. I can't wait to teach Gretchen how to pluck the ripe, red berries once they arrive.

This week's plan: build my raised beds, fill with fabulous compost & soil, plant my veggies, cross my fingers.

I've never had my own garden before, but I have high hopes & a willingness to learn! If there are any gurus in the crowd, please share your sage wisdom with this mama!

Happy growing!

A great blog, with some great gardening tips, and other things...I think you'll really like her!

Oh, this guy is too - and he lives out in your end of the province, so his planting schedule is similar to yours...handy!

I'm no guru or gardening master, but we live in Ptbo too and have had great success with tomatoes, peppers, carrots, cucumbers, beans, peas, sunflowers and rhubarb. Our back yard gets a lot of afternoon sun, so plant in a sunny spot and water in the evenings when necessary. :)

We plan to get a berry bush or two later on this year. We might not get much fruit this year, but hopefully next year will be successful!

Good luck!
